WORKING WITH CHRYSTYNA
What we got out of it:
"She gave me the good, the bad and the ugly truth. Most of all she gave me sage advice on how to fix what doesn't work and as well as praise for what does and she filled my head with new and exciting ideas.
Her love for writing and her enthusiasm in helping other writers develop a story worth reading are much appreciated.
If you're a writer who is stuck with a project, this is the woman to call upon for help and encouragement." WIP on: When We Die, We Go to France
"Chrystyna made me think and let me talk through a lot of things that were still abstract. A strong outline is very important for me, because I’ll be writing this with a co-author. She took that into account, and gave us homework to make sure that we have the same vision and ideas."
"Very pleasant session. Chrystyna is very open, very friendly. She asked for clarification, made suggestions, and then let me decide what’s right for the story. In the end, she got as excited about the story as I am.”
"I've always found Chrystyna's criticism really valuable, it's made me think, and even if I thought at the time I didn't agree, when I've come back to it later I could see she was spot on."
“Chrystyna's feedback was strong, insightful and honest. She really knows and is dedicated to the craft as well as having a deep connection to story.”
"Chrystyna does not candy coat things, she cuts to the chase. When something works, she gets really excited (I love when this happens; she actually gets up and dances!). She has a real passion for writing and is a constructive taskmaster (much needed if you want to go far)."
Dawn Neely Randall
"I think it's difficult to find an editor who has Chrystyna's vision. She is blunt (which I appreciate) and also complimentary. And I think that's what a good editor does, gives honest critique, which may sting, but also gives the writer hope and reinforcement to carry on. That is, makes the writer believe in herself." Author of The Transmigrant.
